Anime Club Constitution
Article 1. Club Name
Anime club’s name will be chosen by the current party forming the club. The current party forming this club will vote, majority vote on a name will result in that becoming the clubs official name.
This name can not be changed by the members of the club until the end of the school year, at which time, the club will vote weather or not to change the club name. If the majority vote rules to change the name, they will then hold another day for voting where they will vote on the club name, with a majority rule.
The current club name for the school year of 2005-2006 is:
Article 2. Club Purpose
This Anime Club’s purpose for forming and meeting regularly at Oakdale High school is as follows:
This club establishes a place where high school students who have a longing or curiosity to learn of the Japanese High School Student’s life can meet and discuses various topics. What better way to learn of how Japanese high school students think and act then to watch what they would normally watch on television?
This club also provide an environment where fans of anime can relax and talk openly of their liking and disliking of Japanese cartoon storylines/plots/character/themes. And As well as go over Japanese computer animation compared to American computer animation.
Lastly this club provides a lunch hour of fun and entertainment for any student at Oakdale High to enjoy, thus eliminating them from the possibility of fighting or getting into trouble during lunch, as they will be under the eye of a kind and generous teacher.
Article 3. Club Eligibility
Anyone who attends Oakdale High School is eligible to join this club and enjoy the time they meet, every student has the opportunity to take on the responsibility of joining this club and making it great.
However, as something we ask for reasons of simple kindness, no one come to this club with the intention of: mocking, ridiculing, angering, upsetting or otherwise bulling any club members for any reason, club related or not. Should such a person show up to this club, it will be the responsibility of the teacher to have them removed from the club. Anyone removed from the club for such activates within a club meeting will not be allow to rejoin until the next school year, or until the teacher and club president see it fit for said person to return to the club.
Article 4. Time and place of Meetings
Tuesdays at Lunch in Mr. Lewis's room, O-1. This is for the year of 2005-2006. Should Mr. Lewis’s room become unavailable the club will vote on a new location and submit it to the principal of the school and activities director for approval. Should the current club advisor, Mr. Lewis, want to resign, he should wait until the end of the year he signed up for. Once his year is over he can either take the club on again, or allow the club officers the job to find a new club advisor.
Article 5. Club Dues
No member of this club is expected to pay a fee to join, nor will they ever be expected to pay to attend meetings. However, they are expected to help with any and every authorized club fundraiser
Article 6. Club Officers
President of the club(1): Voted into office by the party forming the club. Or by club members at the end of the year, this is a majority vote that must be done on ballets at the end of each year. An impartial person will count the ballets. The President of the club will oversee all club events/activates/meetings/and fundraisers. Before anything regarding the club can be submitted for approval by the school, it must have the approval of the club president.
Current Club President: Kate Ehrenholm
Vice Presidents(2): There will be two of them, in the event that the club president is unable to fulfill his or her duties as described above, one of these vice presidents will be voted into the position of president. The vice presidents must also oversee club events/activates/meetings/and fundraisers, they will serve as representatives when the president can not make it for his or her self.
Current Club Vice Presidents: Sally Kovach and Shalyn Powelson
Treasurer(1): This person will make sure all of the club funds are well kept and a record of every piece of currency that flows into the hands of this club is put on record, and submitted not only to the club president, but to the school should it be required of them.
Current Club Treasurer: Katia Beboutova
Secretary(1): This person will take club minutes at all school approved club events/activates/meetings/and fundraisers. It will be the job of the secretary to keep records of events and what students are in the club, and are attending meetings at regular intervals.
Current Club Secretary: Victoria Dunger
The above party make up this clubs officers, they will organize all club events/activates/meetings/and fundraisers and make sure that they are school approved before going though with any of them. Should, for any reason, this club be called before the school administrators, the ENTIRE list of people above should be present.
Article 7. Amendments
Should, this constitution need to be amended, the club officers will vote between themselves, if the vote is 3/5 or more, then they must carry out a vote with the members of the club to have the constitution amended. If the club members vote to have it amended then the officers will work out specifically what they should change and do so.
